Construction Detail Draftsperson

This is a highly rewarding and challenging role for an experienced Construction Detailer to join our industry leading Product Development team, located at the Metricon ROBINA, GOLD COAST stylish Office.

Working within a dynamic and collaborative team, you will be researching and developing the construction detailing documentation and contributing to building methods and innovation for all new home designs nationally.

Reporting to the National Construction Details Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Independently researching efficient and cost effective building methods for all home designs and associated Construction details
• Effectively work with other Departments and team members to deliver well considered solutions to suit the business' needs
• Accurately using AutoCAD & Revit to prepare and complete Construction Details within designated time frames
• Conduct site inspections to review build methods, provide recommendations and improvements as required
• Provide support and technical training to operational and building teams across the business
• Ensure all drawings are completed accurately to reflect Construction and regulatory requirements, as well as in accordance with Metricon standards; and
• Maintain and constantly develop a thorough knowledge of Metricon products, services and processes in order to complete work confidently.

• Formal qualifications in Architectural Drafting (Diploma or higher) an advantage
• Must have at least 5 years Australian Drafting experience using AutoCAD and REVIT!!!
• Exceptional technical knowledge in Construction detailing
• A strong understanding of the NCC and Australian Standards and state based regulatory requirements (NSW/VIC/QLD/SA)
• The ability to problem solve, source options and solutions, communicate professionally, prioritise and meet deadlines; and
• Implement a high level of attention to detail and a proactive approach to all tasks undertaken
