Senior Technology Teacher

A.B. Paterson College is seeking an exceptional Senior Technologies Teacher to join our innovative and high-performing College community in this full-time, permanent role commencing Term 3, 2026.

We are seeking an exceptional educator who brings energy, expertise, and a commitment to excellence in Technologies education. The successful candidate will deliver inspiring learning experiences across Year 7–10 Design and Digital Technologies, along with the capacity to teach Senior Technologies subjects, with Engineering highly regarded, and/or Digital Solutions or Design.

1. Design and deliver engaging, contemporary learning experiences across Year 7–10 Design and Digital Technologies, and Senior Technologies subjects (including Engineering, Digital Solutions, and/or Design), aligned with curriculum and industry trends.
2. Foster a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that encourages innovation, critical thinking, and practical problem-solving, supported by proactive and consistent behaviour management practices.
3. Assess, monitor, and provide meaningful feedback on student progress using a range of formative and summative strategies to support academic growth and individual excellence.
4. Contribute actively to the College’s pastoral care and co-curricular programs, building strong, respectful relationships and supporting the holistic development of each student.
5. Collaborate with colleagues within a professional learning culture, sharing best practice, driving innovation in Technologies education, and contributing to continuous improvement across the College.

What We’re Looking For:

• Demonstrated capability to teach Year 7–10 Design and Digital Technologies, and Senior Technologies subjects, with Engineering highly regarded, and/or Digital Solutions or Design.
• A genuine passion for Technologies education, with the ability to inspire innovation, creativity, and critical thinking in students.
• A strong commitment to student wellbeing, academic excellence, and holistic development.
• A collaborative professional who contributes positively to College culture and collegial practice.
• An educator who embraces innovation, emerging technologies, and continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
• Strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and QCAA syllabus, with the ability to deliver rigorous and engaging programs.
• Highly developed digital capability, including the effective use of ICT and contemporary classroom technologies.
• Current Teacher Registration (essential).
• Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
